Students start the planning process with skills assessments and personality tests to begin to find an area of concentration for study, education and training. The 6-part folder includes spaces for recording the following information: interests, personality traits, assessed skills; career interest clusters using the OOH, O*NET and online activities; checklist for SCANS skills and competencies mastered; work/community/volunteer experiences and skills learned; adaptive, transferable and job-specific skills. Also included for EACH GRADE: career goals, education plan for classes needed for specific career cluster and plans beyond high school. Also suggests other items to include in the Portfolio such as test scores, resume and school transcripts. Great resource to use throughout high school.
