Potential barriers include: Basic Needs, Job Search, Family Concerns, Life Skills and Career Development. Counselors and Administrators can quickly identify major concerns and barriers facing their clients. It also helps develop a plan for overcoming those barriers, and by effectively identifying barriers and developing and implementing strategies for overcoming them, counselors and administrators can help prevent recidivism.
